Overload and short circuit protection
A fuse is a current protector, mainly used for overload and short circuit protection in circuits. When the current exceeds the specified value, the fuse will melt the fuse through the heat generated by itself, thereby disconnecting the circuit and protecting electrical equipment and systems from damage.
Main purpose
Overload protection
When the current in the circuit exceeds the rated value of the fuse, the fuse will melt due to heating, preventing the circuit from overheating or fire due to overload.
Short circuit protection
When a short circuit occurs, the current will increase significantly in an instant. The fuse can quickly detect and disconnect the circuit, prevent excessive current from flowing, and protect the equipment from damage.
Electronic equipment protection
Fuses are used to protect electronic equipment that have high requirements for current stability, such as household appliances, consumer electronics, server power supplies, and automotive electronics, to prevent high current from damaging the equipment and extend its service life.
Power System Protection
In high and low voltage power distribution systems, control systems and electrical equipment, fuses are used as short circuit and overcurrent protectors and are widely used in photovoltaics, energy storage, wind power, new energy vehicles, charging piles, industry, communications IDC and other fields.
Semiconductor Device Protection
Fast fuses are specially used to protect semiconductor rectifier components or rectifier devices. Because of their low overload capacity, they need to be quickly blown to cope with short-circuit currents.
